Blessed

2014 is drawing to a close, and so I thought it would be a good time to reflect on some of my many blessings. This is by no means a comprehensive look at them all, but rather a small fraction of God's goodness to me. I recently heard a Christmas song that I haven't heard in years. The lyrics in part go like this- when I'm worried and I can't sleep, I count my blessings instead of sheep, and I'll fall asleep, counting my blessings. I hope that as this year ends and a new one begins, you'll join me in looking back and reflecting on the multitudes of blessings we enjoy. Thank you for your interest in this blog. God bless and keep you, and God bless America. May we return to our roots and once again be a beacon of light for the world.

  1. Loved all the pictures, Tom! And I've always loved that song - it's "Count Your Blessings," sung by Rosemary Clooney in the movie, "White Christmas". Yes, we have so many things to be thankful for! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and words with us, Tom, and God bless you and your family, too! Love you!

  2. Hi Jill, thanks for the comments. It's always nice to get a little feedback. I really like that song too. The version I heard was by The Ray Conniff Singers, but regardless of who sings it, it's nice. It's so easy to get caught up in all that's wrong with the world that we lose sight of all that's great about it. As American's we have been especially blessed, we just need little reminders some time. Love you too gal. God bless you and your family.

    1. No problem Liz- it's getting better as the little people grow. Some day the roles will be reversed and your mom and I will be the greatest challenge to deal with. Perhaps we already are and just don't know it! Thanks for coming over. I know it's a hassle and expensive to boot. Love you too gal.
